The Merit Badge program is one of the most exciting parts of the Scouting journey. It allows Scouts to explore more than 135 different areas of knowledge, from wilderness survival to space exploration, building confidence and technical expertise along the way.


The Merit Badge Process





1. Choose Badge
2. Submit Merit Badge Interest Form
3. Contact Counselors
4. Connect with Counselor
5. Complete the Badge
Pick a subject that interests you from over 135 badges.
Get your blue card signed and contact your counselor.
Keeping Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Coordinator in copy, you must message the counselor.
Merit Badge Coordinator connects you to the available counselor.
Working with your counselor, you complete your merit badge.

6. Counselor Updates Requirements
Your Merit Badge Counselor will update the completion of the requirements in Scoutbook.

7. Completion Approval
Advancement Chair approves the completion of your merit badge after confirming the initial unit leader signature.

8. Awarding of Merit Badge
Advancement Chair coordinates with your Scoutmaster to award your merit badge at the next Court of Honor.
